The backup plan is to play Triumphant Stranger from Hand or complete the Agenda of Traver's Farm.
.
Shadow merchants can get back dead Keelo with Last Chance and Krull, Xumuc Occultist
- Redraw any hand that is not able to get JPS influence
- Get FTJPS and SS influence if possible
- Don't bother too much with the influence for Learned Imitator - Sequence power carefully, as some of the power cards are conditional.
- Keep track of how many Learned Imitators are left in the deck
- Keelo can fetch the 1-of strangers, and the extra battle skills can let you Keelo your strangers into more expensive units.
Vs Grand Suppressor: - The suppressor stops merchants and Learned Imitator.
- Keelo can still turn a reckless Blight Pass Smuggler into a Triumphant Stranger - Keelo can turn a merchant into a Soaring Stranger and later turn that into Triumphant Stranger - You can still play Triumphant Stranger from hand or complete Traver's Farm's agenda.
- You can kill the suppressor.
Vs Transpose for Rain of Frogs or Turn to Seed: - If they have transpose, get the market Swift Refusal before they have a chance to play either of these.
- You can check for transpose by attacking and seeing if there is a pause.
Vs Hailstorm - Play into it and hope they don't have it (Especially if you have a shadow merchant in hand to rebuild)
- But if they do have it, any random strangers like Unfamiliar Interloper will make Triumphant Stranger big enough to survive.

Was playing in gauntlet (learning the flow of deck) ... found an interesting bug.
When you play travellers farm and select draw a stranger option against the gauntlet AI the game reads that as a forfeit. And boom done.
Mentioned because it’s done it twice to me now ...will also create a bug report with dwd.
Yea seems the new patch added a couple game-ending bugs. I think it counts as neither a win nor a loss, but you see yourself explode and the game ends.
I hate this deck... played against it three times in a row this morning. Probably my luck but Triumphant Stranger has been super effective. So many of the strangers are trash 2/2's but I keep seeing TS pull absolute bombs -- the stranger that gives all others +3/+3, Grodov's, Linrei's, Towering, etc. Congrats on making a synergy deck consistent.
When I have time later I'm going to make a hate deck for this even if it loses to everything else. Sorry... so much salt. :)
Yea, it can be swingy. It turns out if you can get multiple random strangers, some of them will be great.
If you want to make a hate deck, grand supressor shutting down all of the merchants is a good start, and cheap removal killing initiates, merchants, and triumphant stranger can slow the deck down a lot.
It could work - they are very similar cards. I could also see having 1x Horus traver as a target for the farm to draw.
Interloper's shade sometimes gets an influence, triggers "when you play a stranger" effects, is fodder for keelo, and sometimes makes banners undepleted. But all of those are relatively minor bonuses, so cheaper can be relevant too occasionally.
Thank you so much for this deck.
Finally you can both have fun with a deck that looks like jank AND win games.
I love how you still have a lot of piloting to do and understand the match ups combined with the fun of the RNG when you create new strangers, will I get Shakva or a measly xenan stranger ?
Laddering should be more fun this month.
I can't get anywhere with this deck, people are only playing aggro. I got Triumphant Stranger out on turn 4, and he made Shavka's stranger, opponent immediately Seared Triumphant stranger, Permafrost Shavkas Stranger, and proceeded to keep my board clear and keep damage up. I also learned much to my dismay, that Crafty Occultist only draws them two cards if they have nothing to discard.
Yea if the opponent has blazing salvo / torch / sear it can be hard to keep your early units alive. However if your triumphant stranger is able to survive against aggro you can stabilize pretty quickly.
This is the fun i am looking for when playing eternal. If you are looking for a fun deck that is actually competitive, look no further everyone, this is it.
Had an 8 win streak and then a 6 win streak this morning playing it,and it was a blast! Thank you for making this gem public, if i could i would upvote it 3000 times!

Your “you see yourself explode and the game ends.” Is much more descriptive than my “boom done”
