<Initiating CopyPasta...>
You've always wanted to play
Ashara, Widowmaker, haven't you? But you never knew what to do with her. Well, if you haven't dusted all your copies, here's your chance to play what's turned into an awesome deck.
The Xenan elves jumped out of nowhere and threatened to dust my collection if I don't accept their challenge, where I choose one of them to build around. In this case, it was definitely not Ashara. (I chose
Tavia, Lethrai Raidleader of course) The initial list wasn't exactly awful, but it certainly wasn't good. I decided to rework it on the same day (otherwise my collection will be gone), and we ended up with this.
In came a
Shadow Etchings market apart from the standard
Condemn which is kind of nice given that we have a lot of free cardboard that we can tuck away for better not-so-free cardboard. Typically,
Secret Passage is the first grab.
Eremot's Machinations is a close second. It depends on the board state but the other market cards are for decoration purposes only. Ashara can be somewhat difficult to cast, but she is the namesake card of the deck for some reason so I have to play her. And when you can play her, it can swing the game, especially in the aggro matchups when they are topdecking for torch the 3 life she gains you is very important.
Veena's Masterpiece helps with card draw. Our removal is kind of standard as in no removal.
The main draw of the deck is Masterpiece because it literally draws. This list lets us target our units like every unit except
Huntmaster Vikrum. She has charge on an empty board which can make for good plays. She can work as removal, but that's exactly what the card is here for. If your opponent has a particularly slow start, spamming units as an aggro deck can be good.
The deck has gone 3-0, which seems enough games to prove that it is a good deck. Anyway, enjoy!
