Preface: I think that this deck has actually some potential to be broken, but I dont think that this is the perfect build. I want to share the basic idea and hope that someone that is better in optimising builds can make it work. Despite that I will still try to explain all the card choices I made.
After a few more games I have to say that the list seems to be better than I thought, but there are probably still some ways to make it better.
The basic goal of the deck is to decrease the cost of
Replicator Engine to 0 with
Tempting Offer and to copy the 0 mana Engine in hand with
Messenger Hawk to get 0 mana copies in deck. At some point in that process you buff the Engines with
Nostrix, Lord of Visions and voila, you have a bunch of 0 mana 7/6 Engines in deck that draw copies of themselves. The rest of the deck consists of removal, card draw and the highly important 4-cost market.
I didnt play much throne in the last few days, which made it hard to find the right removal options for this format.
Permafrost seems to be great against most aggressive decks, but its pretty bad against FTS sac decks and Spellcrag.
Ice Bolt is bad against decks that really just want to ramp, but it is fine against aggressive decks with bigger threats and has the additional upside of being able to ramp yourself.
Edict of Kodosh was added because I saw a lot of Stonescar decks on Warcry and in Twitch streams and
Pristine Light is a cheap boardclear with the additional upside of posible card draws.
The card draw is just the basic primal package of
Strategize,
Wisdom of the Elders and
Honor of Claws plus
Crownwatch Press-Gang for Hawks and Engines. Strategize has the additional use of putting back your second Engine because you never need 2 in hand.
Petition mostly acts as a tutor for Offer, but it can also fix your influence.
The market is definetly debatable, I even tried to add
Lumen Reclaimer (and a few time sources in the main deck), but the double time influence was way to hard to make it work.
Citywide Ban is a hate card that can be necessary because this deck is very fragile too some cards.
Forbidden-Rider Outcast acts as the best anti-aggro choice in the market, but it can be also be solid against slower decks.
Linrei's Codex was added after a 20 minute match against Even FTS because I couldnt beat the flyers of
The Witching Hour with all the chump blockers in the way. Engines wont get flying, but flying Press-Gangs and the option to
Crystallize for a lethal attack are enough to justify the market space.
Rejection is a great way to beat
Harsh Rule decks by keeping 5 mana open (which isnt to hard after you got to your 0 mana 7/6 engines).
Skyward Seer acts as a tutor for Nostrux. The spark will always work if you play it the same turn that you played
Transpose, because Transpose dealt damage to your opponent.
