Before you ask, yes, you win by milling your opponent out. You shuffle your good cards back into your deck and hopefully craft a deck that only has effective cards towards the current match up. I have gone 36+ turns on average with this list and most wins end up being to concessions. If you have any ideas to make the deck faster please post them. I was thinking of maybe adding
Shadow or
Primal for a card that actually mills the opponent but I dunno.
Some explanations for the card choices below.
Telekinetic Shackles, a very versatile card can be used to pop
aegis counter
At Any Cost or other spell damage based lists and buys you a turn against relic weapons. With enough power its also just a regular fog.
Tactical Expertise, good against go wide strategies like grenadins and some mono red aggro lists, but is mainly meant to be used in the late game in combination with another fog to gain life.
Desert Alchemist is in the deck to address the main weaknesses of this deck which are
charge,
aegis and relic weapons, while not great against the latter (it most likely wont get rid of the relic weapon) it does buy you a turn (unless you are dealing with
overwhelm).
Crystalline Wanderer, your wincon and your biggest weakness, you need at least two copies, so be careful of
silence, transform and
voidbound effects. You can sort of play around these effects (unless they target your void, or they are fast) by waiting until you have a
Shen-Ra Speaks before you play your
Crystalline Wanderer.
Chronostorm, weak to
charge,
aegis and powerful summon effects, but makes the deck due to the neat interaction it has with
Svetya's Decree, also while it doesn't come up often, its permanent removal if your opponent has a full hand as all the units will go directly to their
void.
I was thinking of
Urn of Choking Embers as a good addition as it takes care of the
charge/
aegis problem, but splashing
Fire for just one card seems wasteful.
Some relics like
Orene's Scepter and
Quicksilver Gateway while not that common, completely shut down your game plan so the deck would benefit from attachment destruction in
Unmake or face
aegis. The best way to implement this would be by adding a market.
Again, any suggestions are welcome. Good luck to anyone who decides to play this list.
I'm working on another bad deck idea and I might post it tomorrow so stay tuned if you're interested.
