Information

This deck is based on Awaken, My Masters! with changes that improve quality of opening hand and ramp faster than your opponent. Opening hand is critical for Gauntlet on high difficulty, while ramping faster means out-racing aggro opponents. I removed all excessive cost cards that relied on the Firemaw but made opening hands unplayable, added more relics to improve odds of using Monolith Guardian ability and getting ramp within first 3 turns.

UPDATE: As of 2017/12/29, the deck is able to run ~70% complete Gauntlet runs. I have also updated the deck to be all-out Gauntlet, with Sideboard containing Versus alternatives. See end of the description for Sideboard explanation.

The starting strategy is to to produce a 4-drop on 3rd turn. This deck has no 1-drop other than Seek Power so play depleted Banners and Seats on turn 1. Your starting hand should feature Power Stone or Sauropod Wrangler or Trail Maker. I find Power Stone preferrable because people have less relic than unit removal, and it unlocks the potential of Monolith Guardian. Trail Maker should only be used for influence fix since it is very easy to kill.

Between all 4-drops, I prefer to start with Crimson Firemaw, then Sandstorm Titan when needed to shut down multiple flying opponents. Monolith Guardian is a valid 4-drop only if you managed to play a Power Stone.

Eventually you'll survive until Great-Kiln Titan that speeds up the tempo in your favor, and usually seals the game. It helps that Xenan Obelisk doubles its effect exactly at the same power level. Since I have increased ratio of relics, chances of doing direct damage have improved.

Copper Conduit is a last resort in early game but absolutely shines in the late game, especially if cost-cut by the Firemaw. It can be thrown against opponent to force him to sacrifice his tempo to soak the damage with no regret, since the card has no other effect worth keeping.

I have also added 4x Bait since Gauntlet considers it at par with deadly units, while it makes opponents think twice before dropping Harsh Rule or Lightning Storm without a second removal at hand. I have been able to win many Gauntlet stall games just by attacking with this card, and Xenan Obelisk improves on the speed of burning your opponent.

This deck still falls short against control and removal. However Bait helps very little against mass removals.

VERSUS SIDEBOARD:
2x Groundbreaker vs 2x Bait - Despite prohibitive influence cost that makes it a bad 4-drop in your opening hand, the card is a life saver (pun intended) against Xenan Devout decks, and covers your defense. With Xenan Obelisk and Xenan Initiation you can have scary damage output if you get the double damage effect, too.
1x Novaquake Titan vs 1x Bait - With Crimson Firemaw, Xenan Obelisk and all mana ramp in the deck, bonding the Novaquake Titan is even easier this time around. It is a horrible opening hand card, so some consistency is sacrificed. Increased ratio of relics also means more cards drawn upon bond.
2x Bait + 0-1x Trail Maker + 0-1x Sauropod Wrangler vs 2-4x Purify - Praxis is poor on removal, so skipping on Purify is a calculated risk. If you need more consistency at the cost of slow ramp (~10% less chance of 4-drop on 3rd turn) you can afford to silence and kill most of the opposing wincons.

... You know, I didn't make my Awaken deck ever expecting to see other people credit it in the description. I'm gonna need a minute to stop being flattered, hang on...

My appreciation out of the way, I want to say, yeah this looks a lot more solidly constructed. I've made a lot of changes to that deck since I posted it (and haven't edited it much largely out of fear it wouldn't look as good as the first) but you took a bit of a different approach than me which I find interesting. You moved in on a consistent core while I've been trying to figure out how best to push Sentinels, and looking at them side by side I... honestly feel a little embarrassed. Looks extremely solid and I'm probably gonna toy with it and see what sticks!

... Just know that I'm completely and totally firm in my opinion that Novaquake Titan will never be at minimum a one-of. I love that card far, far too much to cut it. I'll take a ~3% dip in consistency or whatever, I'm playing my darling explosive idiot son. Heh.

Thanks for your feedback, Kiri. I am just as flattered to hear from you. Your suggestion of Novaquake Titan got me thinking. With even more power ramp from Xenan Obelisk getting the Novaquake should be even easier in mid-game. If you could fit a single copy, where would you cut to make it happen? I have been thinking about Groundbreaker, it is a very bad starting hand card (Novaquake would be just as bad), it's double damage is conditional and doesn't always fire (especially if this is the only 4-drop on turn 3) and while it is great for stalling, pretty much everything else is great for stalling too. So what do you think about cutting Groundbreaker?
Kiri Eternal Version: 1.27
Groundbreaker would probably be the cut, yeah. The double damage doesn't synergize with sneaking out Novaquake's Bond and he's pretty far and away the least of your 4s just by way of being so hard to play. That said, one Novaquake is plenty, because yeah you never want him to gunk up an earlygame hand. You want exactly that one copy that shows up in the middle or the end that gets you excited to suddenly tell your opponent they've already lost.

... Groundbreaker's also probably especially the cut just by way of this being a Gauntlet deck in this form. The lifegain-based gauntlet decks aren't really constructed or piloted well enough to be worth hard-countering. It's not really like Ranked where every bit of lifeswing matters. Even if it's really fun to watch the AI silently cry over not being able to function on a basic level, Groundbreaker against Xenan Devout or Oathbreakers is just kinda kicking them while they're down compared to, say... Infinite Hourglass against Deep Freeze, whose annoying enough to deserve it. Heh.

Valid point on keeping two Groundbreakers in Versus Sideboard. If you cut elsewhere for Novaquake Titan, where would you go?
