Having seen
Zaxo Leviathan, I was pretty sure I wanted to try to build a new version of a Sentinel Reanimator.
I have not played this deck much yet, but I have a feeling that it COULD be pretty sweet.
Stirring Sand is a sweet card, and can sometimes lead to a sudden win (I mean, playing it and exhausting a
Tocas, Waystone Harvester to play two
Heart of the Vault and killing your opponent who sat at 3 health? That's STYLE.)
But this deck can easily win without Stirring Sand. Sure, it is hard. You will not always survive a
Harsh Rule. This deck really needs to play around it. Often, 2 Sentinels are enough of a threat to trigger a wipe. Do never ever overcommit against a deck that could run wipes. Your threats are very likely big enough that you can overrun them if they do not wipe.
Some people may argue to also play Shadow for cards like
Grasping at Shadows. I can see that point, but I am also sure you do not need it.
I am thinking about putting a
Mysterium Orb either into the market or even main. Right now, it is easy to just chump block. I mean, if it is in the market and you are at that point in the game, it is very likely that you could also bond out a Novaquake and just push through from there on. I don't know what is right, so I would be happy about your thoughts, dear readers!
