Edit 12/7: Still a fun Argenport deck. I've updated for the current meta with Stonepowder Alchemist and no Desecrate post-nerf. Unfortunately, this deck does not run Icaria, but it can beat basically everything else.

I finished the season at rank 79 with this new take on 2 previous archetypes. With Rakano Valkyries disappearing, a new Valkyrie midrange deck can start abusing Sediti, the Killing Steel. Now that Argenport finally has the Argenport Insignia, this deck is more dangerous than ever. What makes this one different is the inclusion of Crownwatch Press-Gang and Street Urchin to pick up more card advantage and force your opponent to make difficult choices on how to deal with all the little threats that stack up.

The main game plan is to play a 2-drop on 2, followed by a merchant to grab Regent's Tomb to pressure early. If you fall behind, then you have removal options instead to flip the board. Blackhall Warleader retains a starring role in midrange with it's ability to buff cards early and often. Buffing a Street Urchin is often too much value for the opponent to survive.

While this deck doesn't have the high powered top end of some other decks, damage from Inquisitor Makto and Sediti, the Killing Steel seem to be more than enough for most opponents since control is struggling to find enough tools to deal with aggro. This is especially true if they receive buffs from Icaria, Valkyrie Captain. This deck lines up well against aggro and Yetis in particular since it can match threat for threat and go bigger. Finally, Dizo's Office can provide the final push and stabilization with life steal if the game goes long enough.

Note: I prefer Copperhall Bracers as my market ramp card that I will often grab on 3 power with a clear board since I want to keep the pressure on my opponent. But this is a flex spot that can be used for the power card of your choice.

Edit 8/1: Oops, got tired of getting torched/charred on my ramp weapon. Just use the Standard.

Edit 8/14: Adding Vara, Vengeance-Seeker to combat Yetis and Combrei.

Thanks for the deck djwarpt!
Just went d2 to masters with it. I changed x4 Annihilate for x4 Vara, Vengeance-Seeker, and tomb in the market for Suffocate. Too many damn Aegis and Yetis on the ladder she helped out a ton haha

Feels really powerful, even vs the top tier decks!

Thanks man! That damn pay2win Combrei deck is so powerful hahaha

Now I'm seeing a ton of Combrei with Stand Together/Sword of Unity too, so Vara has to return. Updating now, but I'm going with Slay over Suffocate. Nice work.

Very nice; wreck those silly Yetis.

Really like this deck, have cruised through Gold 3 and Gold 2 in only one day. One thing - do you think you need Harsh Rule AND Pristine Light? Seems like a bit of overkill, and I'd love to having else to get when you get a bunch of merchants.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. The issue is that pristine light doesn't really deal with aggro that well. I wanted a full sweep, so that Yetis and Stonescar don't blow me off the board. Pristine Light is just too good to cut also, but go ahead and give something else a try if you want. I'd be curious to see what you think it needs; originally I had Telut in the market, but Dizo's Office just seems better.
