I marked the deck as Gauntlet because that's where I've played it. But I feel like there's potential here, even if it isn't the most consistent list I've ever put together.
Thanks to Pensfan, I've caught the
Bloodrite Kalis bug. I'm a
Rat Cage guy at heart, so I'm all about relic token decks. That led me here.
We're building on top of the standard Tota machine:
Azurite Prixis discards cards when tokens die, and
Cheering Section turns that into more tokens. Rat Cage gives tokens with actual attack strength, and
Shrine to Karvet gives everyone muscle. This combo saw a lot of success in a very complicated 4-faction deck that I also quite enjoy, but its recently gained some new tools in the core colors.
New tool number 1:
Rift Siphon. A relic to get rats, that discards cards to trigger Cheering Section, that can also give our Totas permanent attack power if they manage to swing once. And if we miss on the attack, we get ramp to build up to bigger relics.
New tool number 2:
Strip for Parts. Maindeckable relic hate that recycles cards that we lost to Prixis or the opponent's relic hate. We can use this to bring back an already-buffed Kalis, grab a Siphon or Cage, or even, if we've played
Passionate Artisan, play a Cheering Section or Shrine! And all at fast speed!
The rest of the deck is just cards that work well with these ideas.
Kindling Carver and
Devour for draw,
Combust for removal,
Kato, Arena Herald for fodder and giants when the time comes.
Phoenix Stone is more than playable thanks to its revert, and serves as a cheap Cage trigger that gives flying offense. Once we've milled and sacc'ed a bunch of cards,
Bone Music plays huge threats. Don't forget it's a discard to trigger Cheering Section!
We're a
Crack the Earth market, and that gives us many good options.
Dova, the Fearmonger is incredibly strong if you can get him down, even just one turn can let you totally (pun not intended) restock your hand.
Lurking Sanguar is easy to play with all of our tokens, and
Induce Madness does incredible things. The strongest combo Pens' stream uncovered was playing Induce and following up with Kalis, which decimates the opponent's board. Just remember, if you have Prixis on field it might decimate your deck too!
Recycle can let you remove a Prixis that has outlived its usefulness to avoid that.
Finally,
Pillar of Dreams. We can trigger this card repeatedly, it's a permanent buff for the whole board, and it's a relic to trigger Rat Cage. Sounds like my dream card! Pun absolutely intended.
