I put this together the other day after getting annoyed with the current meta decks and it's doing pretty well.
Card Choices:
Borderlands Lookout - Over statted 1 drop against most decks. Usually a 2/3, sometimes a 3/4, rarely anything else.
Ghar, Master Sandmage - Are you tired of dealing with Dragons and
Daring Gryffyns? So is Ghar. Agressively statted 1 drop, with added silencing bonuses. I only include 3 copies because I only have 3 copies.
Char,
Kairos' Choice,
Conflagrate- Removal, each card filling a slightly different role. Conflag is good with Eclipse Dragon, since you can occasionally hit 2 things for 8.
Predator's Instinct - The Expedition version of
Xenan Initiation. Good synergy with Resolute Monk, Siege Breaker, Eclipse Dragon, Emblem of Grodov unit, and Kairos' Choice.
Amaran Armadillo - Turns out Inspired Endurance is actually very good in this format. The extra +1/+1 acts as a psuedo
Xenan Obelisk, even better synergy with Hourglass in Market.
Resolute Monk - Agressively statted 2 drop, Empower makes him scary.
East Annex Smuggler - A smuggler with Charge that gives us a Market.
Gnash, Unrelenting - Over statted 3 drop. Muster effect is gravy, it doesn't come up often, but all of the spells are cheap, and so are the relics in Market.
Ramba, Arena Showman - Over statted 3 drop. The rest of his card text is gravy. With this deck, you don't often have much of a hand, but the 7 to play the top card can help you recover in a long game.
Kaleb's Persuader - I've been a fan of this weapon since last set. Grabs you power, usually hits for an extra 5 damage at least once, and pairs well other Battle Skills on our units.
Siege Breaker - Agressively statted 4 drop. The downside to this card rarely comes up in Expedition, since most relics are in Markets and not the main deck. Otherwise, many opponents have a hard time shutting down a 6/5 with Overwhelm.
Eclipse Dragon - Aggressive flyer, Charge and Quickdraw help ensure it deals damage. Not sure if this should be 3/3 or 4/2 split with Siege Breaker, still testing.
Emblem of Grodov - the unit itself is OK, but it really shines with Killer effects.
Cards I Cut -
Magus of Celerity - Scout is useful in a format without Crests, Inspire Charge is great, but doesn't do much else on turn 3.
Market
Infinite Hourglass - Shuts down Permafrost, allows you to be aggressive and still defend yourself. Pseudo Obelisk with Armadillo on field.
Edict of Shavka and
Edict of Grodov - Situational removal. Shavka can also give you that 1 extra chip damage where you need it. Grodov at worst can buy you a turn or at best, essentially remove a unit or spell from the game.
Porcelain Mask - Cheap, silences a unit in enemy hand and grants a relevant Battle Skill to all units.
Waystone Fragment - Replacement for Obelisk. Spellcraft effect is handy if game goes long and pairs well with Gnash.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the deck. Let me know if you have any feedback in the comments below.
Marvin_the_imp suggested using Tribute Gnash instead, since the Muster effect isn't used very often. If you have those give them a try, because I don't.
