A new spin on a classic archetype, this list looks to bring home the bacon by using
Counterfeiter to make
Grim Stranger do some fairly powerful things. Namely, hit your opponent. In the face. With a big arrow.
To get you there we've got good shadow removal in Desecrate and
Defile. I'm not completely sold on
Savagery sometimes I love it other times I hate it. For now, it stays because it helps trying to get that last Varret, hero-in-training hit for the trigger, as well as giving
Grim Stranger a chance to pop face bubble before a big swing.
The market is of course up to you, the player. I do however recommend
Burglarize as a way to deal with annoying enemy relics.
To play the deck first you must drop a stranger so
Counterfeiter has his target. Once you've played him and chosen strangers, extremely interesting effects take place. 1st all units in your deck become a stranger, 2nd any token you would produce is a stranger, 3rd any unit you would draw off of a
Makkar's Stranger trigger is a stranger.
So yes, when you play
Traver's Farm and choose to play
Reunite you can select any unit in the deck at reduced cost. Interesting!
The strategy is as follows, Play a stranger, play
Counterfeiter, get to
Grim Stranger, then play units and swing.Cards like
Vishni, Lethrai Highblood and
Fanatical Stranger are nice ways of adding board presence and a huge shot of damage on a grim swing.
Let me know what you guys think.
