Don't have cards for my Budget decks and want my help to make a gauntlet deck? Ask here.
PS: Comment how many shiftstone you want spend in your gauntlet deck and what campaign you want buy. I can help you saying some cards to destroy to get more shiftstone.
Mulligan: Try keep a hand with 3 power, or 2 power + draw/play sigil. The rest depend of the enemy. Is a great think have lifesteal units. Try see how many Justice and Shadow you will need and have a hand that you can play something on turn 3.
The ShiftstonedEternal Power Calculator is a deck-building tool that visualizes your odds of drawing enough Influence and Power based specifically on the cards found in your deck.
I'm fairly certain that it's just because I'm unlucky, but I've been using this deck for a few months now and often get mana screwed at my opening hand. I end up getting left on two mana hands more often than I think I should ,it that's just luck more than anything. That aside, are there any changes you would make to the deck as it stands? And would you still consider it your best gauntlet grinding deck? I am looking for something that will consistently do well in gauntlet for grinding and if this one is still great then I have no qualms I just want to stay on top of the game
One of the strongest gauntlet deck is The Gauntlet Machine by ElmoLesto, but his deck is really slow. And alot of cards get nerfed. Other players put great decks too. This is not the strongest gauntlet. Is MY strongest gauntlet. Cizzle's Gauntlet for jun 2019 was so powerfull, but he delete. Roxie also made great deck, but she only make until 2019 and the decks get nerfed. The deck have 9 draw power (including the merchant). If you add more you will have problem.
Not now. In fact torch was less opressive in gauntlet then is in throne. Alot of AI don't use it. But i should update this deck next week when the new Set Release. Maybe in Set 8 depending on the Gauntlet meta, but for now 2 Vara is enough.
I remove 1 Vanquish since he become useless (nerf) to put another Slay. And remove 1 Incarnus, Makkar's Listener to put a 4th Righteous Intent since she become weaker to gauntlet. Now you can play her in decks with buff or counter to save her in gauntlet. Shieldsmith make no sense in this deck because the only way i can get armor is Righteous Intent. To use it i should use cards like Throne Warden. Also he is better in Rakano since Rakano and fire get some get armor cards. The only playable argenport card that give armor is Streetwise Informant. I want make an Armor Theme based deck for gauntlet during next year only. Right now i have low shiftstone to craft some missing cards and will start making some budget decks for gauntlet too.
AI will normally target the strongest attack with removal then sometimes he ignore it if have a strongest unit also if i attack with multiple units and make no difference how will block he will focus to block my strongest unit with his strongest unit and block Kesava with 2 or more weak units and annihilate will kill it. Tip: Is really weird, but if you attack with 1 unit the AI will almost allways block with his strongest unit. This is great in other decks to use hailstorm and other damages because the ai ignore battle tricks and damage spells. Kesava, Rost and Makto are the 3 cards AI don't have any idea on how to interact. Another deck i have that the AI don't know how to interact is the Spell Surprise. The deck is not so good, but if you know how the ai play you will win 80% or more games (unless you have a bad hand). In the Spell Surprise the AI will not block a weak attack then you just wait have enough spells in hand and very easy win. Tip: Play gauntlet, know how the AI reacts, then try this deck. If you want any tip you can add me as a friend in eternal and i will teach you how to use this deck. My friend see me playing and he see we play completely different.
Thank you, though I'm missing most of the legendaries in this deck so I won't be able to test it yet. I was mostly wondering about Kesava in case it had some hidden potential against AI the same way that e.g. Savior of the Meek does.
Other than that I've played quite a few gauntlets and I think I am experienced with the way the AI works, this one has been my most successful gauntlet deck so far Even Shadow - Gauntlet Grinder, have you by chance tried anything similar and/or would you have any thoughts about it?
I will start making budget decks next wednesday. I don't like Desecrate. Only use in Aggro decks. About your list i don't like Dreamsnatcher. You have nothing to buff it and will never go to 10 power. Argenport Instigator is alot better. I would use Ripknife Assassin (or Kerendon Steward if you don't have it) because the AI have so problems to face Deadly. Is so fun to see the AI keep multiple turns without attack only because i have 1 deadly unit. You must craft Emblem of Makkar to use Mono Shadow. Against the AI i would prefer use Immortalize instead of Last Chance. But no more than 2 copies because you would use 4 Emblem. Never use 4 In Cold Blood. Deathstrike is better than it. AI love double block, you kill one of his blockers and the unit kill the other. Even Fell Ritual can be better than In Cold Blood in this deck because you can return the Dragon with Immortalize or Last Chance. Impending Doom and Umbren Voidbringer are great too. If you have shiftstone you should craft 4 copies of 2/3 legend for 2 from the new Set. He is great x Ai. I think you can use 1 or 2 cards that cost 6 like Auric Captain or Caiphus. But the deck looks medium for me. Is a good sign.
