Small Deadly units + Killer, then recur from the void to gain board advantage.
Pathlighter can be an all-star here and you'll almost always be pulling a
Xenan Temple from the market unless you're missing a deadly unit or a killer enabler. Suggest mulling for a hand with three power and some low drops to get started, then holding back
Memory Dredger as long as possible, as they are easy targets but can give you a soft lock against creature-heavy decks.
FoX brings
Immortalize, which is great on a Killer
Pathlighter, as well as the
Emblem of Makkar, for another incidental Deadly unit in the midgame. Don't overlook using
Immortalize on an enemy unit that the Temple puts in your void...
Argent Depths brings
Xenan Cylix to help the power base, as well as
Desert Alchemist, both easy includes here. If Decay sees much play, it will have an adverse impact on this deck.
Empire of Glass didn't bring anything, although I did experiment with
Krull, Xumuc Occultist in the market. Instead, the recent change has been to switch out
Direfang Spider for
Copper Conduit, which I can't believe I've overlooked since Set 1. Recurring it with killer just gets better every time, even without deadly, and the overwhelm means that you can pick on a small target to push through damage late in the game. I also adjusted the power to include some
Emblem of Grodov.
Market: Still not sure about
Excavate vs
Last Chance (
Eremot's Machinations still comes in occasionally in that slot too) and
Venom Rider/
Silverblade Menace is a flex spot that you'll usually want some kind of Deadly creature filling.
Disjunction trumps
Unmake in the market, due to the occasional perk of pulling an Exalted weapon back out of the void that has Deadly and Killer on it.
