First attempt at a Dragon Tribal deck in Eternal. Still very much in the experimental stages. I'll go through and explain some of the more unusual choices, as there's some stuff that's pretty standard fare (Strategize, Polymorph, Torch, etc.). The primary objective is to ramp as quickly as possible and go over-the-top with big fatty dragons (BFD's):
Calderan Cradle: The early game is a lot about using spells to shut down or remove typical threats from Aggro. A lot of our toolkit in this regard are spells. Getting Cradle out lets us turn those spells into fuel for more BFD's. If you can even generate one or two, that's a major threat that needs addressing.
Miner's Musket This guy is one that I found a lot of utility with in Praxis Sentinels, but it's useful here for similar reasons. It makes your BFD's and Cradle cheaper, lets you drop
Howling Peak Smuggler for 1 if you need access to Black Market early. It also aids with taking out early threats that you don't get to with Torch, mostly from Rakano (the Warcry Onis, Hojan, Rakano Outlaw, Crownwatch Paladin).
Rimescale Draconus +
Mindfire: Major wincon. If you can time when your opponent is going for a big swing and leaving a couple blockers, this can be especially sweet.
Ankle Cutter: Endurance units will try to ruin your Fun with Stuns, and that's why we pack this lil guy right here. Also Lifesteal units suck to deal with at the best of times.
Market
Obliterate: Aside from being a mainstay Fire card, this is for dealing with Sandstorm Titans, mostly.
Clutch of Talons: Sometimes, your BFD's don't materialize. This sucks, but that doesn't mean you can't have dragons!! Pairing this up with a persistent
Oni Dragonsmith can be an alternative.
Mighty Strikes: Everybody needs a little help sometimes. If your Dragon tokens or BFD's need a bit of a boost to swing for the win, grab this and go to town.
