Information

From within the Shadowlands, Caiphus, Wandering King emerges from his Dark Return. After being tricked by Azindel, Revealed in his conquest to Seek Power, Caiphus contacts his daughter Vara, Vengeance-Seeker. After Vara realizes Caiphus is not a Mirror Image they Stand Together and Banish Azindel, Revealed, breaking his power and leaving him defeated for the time being.

Now, Caiphus is faced with the choice of returning to Argenport as a Hero of the People; however, his mind is filled with the Haunting Scream of what must be done. So he departs from his daughter and becomes Caiphus, Wandering King.

So this deck is pretty much an edited Hero Scream deck with a little bit of Caiphus, Wandering King added with some combos in mind. The deck I took inspiration from was Hero's Scream (Masters) by Korps. However, some changes I made was added Dusk Raider for more tempo as well as giving creatures berserk including Hero of the People. In addition to this I felt Annihilate helped in the deck since there are many mono colored creatures used a lot such as Teacher of Humility, Sandstorm Titan, Vara, Vengeance-Seeker, etc.

While Haunting Scream does not work on Caiphus, Wandering King, it does work on Hero of the People, which can lead to some crazy combos (such as Haunting Scream on Hero of the People and then Reinvigorate or Mirror Image (or both!). Ideally you want to use Mirror Image on either Hero of the People or Caiphus, Wandering King if possible. Using Dark Return on Caiphus, Wandering King and playing him late game while having Hero of the People on the battlefield can lead to some fun combos. Using Mirror Image in the same situation is immensely more fun and typically leads to victory most of the time in the situations I have played it in.

Haven't got to test the deck too much though since Caiphus just came out but from what I have played; it seems to stand on its own in Master's fairly well and is very enjoyable to play!

Always open to new ideas as well as happy to hear and see all the new Caiphus decks as I really like this card as well as the story related to him! Have fun and enjoy!

Just found out that Caiphus and Hero of the People do not synergize together :-(
Hero does not get the Battleskills from Caiphus.
Just something to keep in mind,

Indeed on the initial drop he does not; however, if you mirror image Caiphus with Hero on the field she gets his skills or if you dark return him and then play him she will get his current skills; when those combo off Hero gets a lot of goodies lol :)

Though setting up that situation is a bit harder and mirroring hero after a scream tends to happen more often. Caiphus is more or less a combo card that under the right situations ends up being a fun and powerful boost if he has skills Hero is missing once he returns or gets duplicated :)

Yep :-)
I did get some wins after dropping him and getting lucky with skills like charge + overwhelm :-D
