A new take on old jank*! The goal is to stick
Midias, Leyline Dragon, play
Sol's Rest, attack for 13, then play 7 more power's worth of spells to attack for another 12.
Volatility finds both parts of the combo, and now hits power cards thanks to Inscribe in
Xo of the Endless Hoard,
Bathe in Light, and
Final Moments.
This deck is a lot of fun for sure, but I don't really expect to bring it to the next Eternal open, lol. If you like doing big goofy things and don't mind fizzling some part of the time, give it a shot!
Alluring Qirin really shines in this deck because it slows the opponents down, and since you have Inscribe cards that you can play out early, often has power that it can play from your hand to fuel an early Xo or Midias. Similarly,
Talir's Sanctum and
Fantastic Revelation are aided by the amount extra power cards you get to play due to Inscribe.
Desert Alchemist provides some much-needed flexibility for the deck, where multiples of one of the former three cards could be redundant and not useful.
The nightfall from Fantastic Revelation is pretty cool with Sol's Rest!
Cards on the chopping block for me right now (in order):
Fantastic Revelation
Talir's Sanctum
Voice of the Speaker
It's possible that having more conventional ramp cards are preferable, but I wanted to really try to lean into the fact that your hand will generally have a ton of power in it.
Have fun!
