This is probably the deck that I know how to pilot the best, while it is not the most original list whatsoever I just like to share my climbing journey with this deck, it got me all the way from Gold 3 to
Masters for the first time!
21/09: 8-2.
22/09: 15-6.
23/09: 6-4.
24/09: 9-4.
25/09: 10-10, it started nicely with 7-1 and then it went downhill, there's a case to say that when you feel frustrated just put down the game for a bit, playing frustrated is an immediate advantage to your opponent.
26/09: 16-4, climbed from Diamond 2 to Masters.
Card Choices:
Kaleb's Choice is primarily here as a faster way to deal with opponent's attachments, especially with all the Endurance relics out there. It also does a great job dealing with Permafrosts and negating spells (at critical moments only).
Bore is in the market regardless, just another way to deal with attachments (especially in multiples), though it is rather slow.
Mortar is in as a way to deal with blockers (and get the units through) or a finisher, before adding this I found myself stuck when the opponent had few health points and didn't have a way to finish the game or get enough unit-damage through. Edit: added 1 more and now it's a 2-of.
Unit-wise - just the regular Skycrag units, give or take a few.
Dusk Raider - I always play her even if I'm sure she's not going to survive a turn, because I feel like the card-draw off of nightfall is more important than her berserk-inspiring ability, though it helps a lot.
Market Choices:
Bore - is obvious.
Rally- it is good to get some overwhelm damage across or finish a game.
Cloud of Ash - to get units across and finish a game if possible, again endurance can ruin the day, but this card can steal games.
Obliterate - to deal with big units or a finisher, I think this is the one of the most drawn.
Crest of Fury - this deck's curve tops at 3/4 power, this means that most of the times what we need is the influence fixing instead of power fixing, crest also adds the value of Scout over Skycrag Banner, but I rarely needed to draw it.
Seems like Elysian is the toughest match for Skycrag aggro, as they can develop their boards very quickly mid-game (turn 5-6) and stall board with killer units, Control matchups can also be difficult if you don't play fast enough, get fast cards or have a way to preserve your units past opponent's turn 3 aka
Hailstorm, but other than that didn't run into many problems with other matches.
Obviously inspired by
ManuS' SkycragDeckWins v3 (Top 35 Masters).
Could you explain Censari Brigand over Pyroknights? Most skycrag lists I have seen so far run Pyroknight as a 4-of. Have you tested it?
