The ShiftstonedEternal Power Calculator is a deck-building tool that visualizes your odds of drawing enough Influence and Power based specifically on the cards found in your deck.
I feel weird being quoted in the deck description, but I agree fairly well with ArrowofKira's description below. This deck reminds me very much of lists like Sling and Icaria control decks where the majority of what the deck is trying to do is simply protect itself and build to its bombs to win the game rather than playing units on curve. It definitely does make it fall into a weird category different from traditional control but the way it functions is similar. That's why I referred to it as a control list. Again, as mentioned, some of the units break the rules a bit, but overall I'm looking at the gameplan of the deck.
TIL: If Great-Kiln Titan plays Draconic Looting at the end of your turn, you keep those 3 cards in hand and have to play them before the end of your next turn.
Also, from my short time playing with this deck, GKT + Doomsday Assembly is a blast, and Hellfire Valk makes everything easier. This is lots of fun.
Great-Kiln Titan has played Draconic Looting once for me.
Your dream scenario is probably GKT into Plating or Doomsday Assembly, but Doomsday is quite often a dead card, hence the 1-of.
Well, the core base of midrange decks is playing (mostly units) on curve with the players choice to play offensively or defensively, and that's definately not what this deck is doing. Steyers Eyes is mostly just fixing and Jada is only chumping and ramping, if there were other ways to do that without them as units in those colors you would play it. Additionally it's definately not pure midrange because you're a Harsh rule deck after all. I guess because of Hellfire that's where this deck is not following the rules by book, i can only refer to old Icaria, the Liberator decks where they're playing control until a certain point and then switch gears and go aggressive, so that's when this deck shares traits from usual Midrange decks and you suddenly play units to take over the board and put the opponent under a clock. I hope that explenation was somewhat helpful random, btw grats to masters :))
From your definition of a Control deck, I think my deck would probably slot right into that spot. However, there are also other control decks that goes unitless or close to unitless.
Yeah there are ofc different types of control decks, I'm curious if there are any sources that specify them for eternal specifically but i havn't found anything that really describes all deck types sufficiently.

The Contract can be used to dig for answers, refill hand or to kill an enemy relic weapon.
Spire Loyalist, Ijin, Mithril Daimyo, Helena, Skyguide and Sigvard, the Last Bastion are units with good stats that may do well against aggro.
Manacles and Waystone Alignment are considerations against aggro, but Oni Inciter can effectively kill the relics which poses a huge risk on those plays.
On the other hand, going Censari Trident and Oni Forgesmith may also do well.
Gates of Hope may possibly be good against control decks, and can partially compensate for the value/ card draw gained from Ghodan.
