TL;DR - This pile of jank is a three card OTK utilizing
Kindo Shadowstep,
Tome of Horrors, and
Curtain Call to immediately mill/discard your opps entire deck.
I've affectionately dubbed this deck, "The Deadly OTK" because It's disguised as a Time/Shadow deck with a bunch of deadly of units and it's hiding a mill combo that can OTK regardless of your opps deck size.
So, how does it work? Let's talk about all three cards and explain how they work together. First,
Tome of Horrors. ALL damage your units do will mill and equal amount of cards off your opps deck and, if
Kindo Shadowstep start a chain reaction that'll kill him. That's where
Curtain Call comes in. If you play Curtain call before this chain reaction begins and give Kindo the "Unkillable" buff, he'll mill the opponents whole deck.
The combo is pulled off successfully when you have Kindo in play, the necessary Time influence to give Kindo "Unkillable" from Curtain call, play tome of horrors, and finally an attack from any one of your units, starting the chain reaction I mentioned above, winning the game.
Card choices :
x7 market cards with
Shadow Etchings +
Kerendon Merchant
x15 units with deadly - my attempt to ward off aggression.
x7 fast removal spells - picking off threats that can evade my deadly units and disrupting any cheap relic strategies
x8 lifegain / niche cards - Ayan is for gaining health in favorable trades and vara is to help with face aegis so our combo can go off the first time we attack. not essential. You can swap them out for other cards that can gain some life, or pop aegis.
x6 draw spells -
Nahid's Distillation is a great way to refill our hand since we're trading cards to the market. Devour is here to eat units out from their removal spells.
Let me know your thoughts! I'd be excited to test out your ideas.
I'd like to give a shout out to Viverno for posting the idea first. You can check his list here: https://eternalwarcry.com/decks/d/DqUVu5uf57M/ti-millo-nel-cuore.
