Based off this deck, but felt I made enough changes for its own listing:
[Masters] Charge Rod ft Recruit
I removed the extra attacks which I'm not sure if the deck is made that much worse by.
Went from Gold II to Masters #33 over the course of a couple days. Feels very strong.
Normally
Divining Rod decks are limited to a maximum of 4 cards they can pull out. However in this deck, it's not unusual to get 5 units out on board for 5-6 mana, which can represent 12-18 additional damage (that most opponents never prepare for). Sometimes you get duds, but there is enough item tutors or big charge creatures in the 5-7 slot that just let you hit face.
Reactor Forge is very strong in this deck and can allow you to win by turn 5. If they waste cards removing it, that's fine, you just win normally.
Mark + Trail Maker allows me to put a splashy 3 color card in the market. I put
Kaleb, Hero of Thera Others may prefer something like
The Creation Project. You can slot in whatever as long as the third color is only a pip of Justice or Primal.
This deck is most weak to aggro, lifegain (Bolster deck) or tokens. Aggro usually goes under it. Trail Scourge is usually a MVP in the sideboard as most of the creatures in the deck cost more than 2. But there is basically no healing so you can't outlast aggro if they get your health low.
