Information

This is a combo deck.
Iceberg Scattershot + West-Wind Herald + Mirror Image => fill the board with heralds
(The combo is not infinite, but is usually good enough)

Common Sequences:
- Play Haunting Scream choosing Iceberg Scattershot. Play Kindle. Play West-Wind Herald. Herald plays Kindle. Play Mirror Image from hand.
- Have 9 power and play both West-Wind Herald and Iceberg Scattershot from hand with Mirror Image in your void.
- Play Kindle and West-Wind Herald on turn 4. On turn 5, infiltrate, have the herald play Kindle, and then play both Iceberg Scattershot and Mirror Image from hand.
- Infiltrate with West-Wind Herald. Herald plays Haunting Scream for Iceberg Scattershot. Play Mirror Image from hand.

Tips
- Mulligan for early interaction and card draw or card selection. A hand with just power, scattershot, and herald is risky.
- Use Jennev Merchant to get Mirror Image, then copy the merchant to get West-Wind Herald.
- Against temporal control, you can sometimes win by just making copies of Jennev Merchant and using Kaleb's Choice to counter the inevitable board-wipe. You can also look for opportunities to scream a Gorgon Fanatic or work towards playing both Iceberg Scattershot and West-Wind Herald on the same turn.
- Against Skycrag aggro, ignore the combo and merchant for Black-Sky Harbinger.
- Against Combrei aggro, Valkyrie Enforcer is their only pseudo-removal, so you usually want to play out Iceberg Scattershot or West-Wind Herald and just hope they don't have a Valkyrie Enforcer.
- Against Kennadins, using Kaleb's Choice to destroy Combustion Cell slows them down a lot.

just a bad deck, before they reach 5.

Is this version better than the recurring nightmare one ? I feel like sometimes the aegis 2/2 flyers could be answered.
Still thanks for the deck
Almost Eternal Version: 1.39.0.5742
The recurring nightmare deck plays 50 power in order to maximize the odds of drawing the combo, and so it has no plan b and loses if the combo is interrupted.
This deck can play long games thanks to the card draw, efficient removal, and the ability to rebuild the combo even if it is interrupted. Gorgon Fanatic also tends to draw out the opponents fast removal to clear the way for the combo.

Love this deck! Just won my first game with the combo and it is immensely satisfying to go off. I am pretty surprised with the resilience of the deck with all the different ways to get back units and play from the grave and hand it seems really solid.
GrayCoelocanth Eternal Version: 1.39.0.5742
Really fun combo. Your explanation was really helpful.

i'm slowly coming around to trying to learn how to pilot this deck, with the guidance of your stream vods.
could you explain some of your recent changes?
is Jotun Hurler used for aegis popping/market fodder, and Combust used for killing units with Vanquisher's Blade?
what is Rindra's Choice trying to answer? haunted highway units or Stand Together/Haunting Scream/The Great Parliament or something?
Almost Eternal Version: 1.39.0.5742
Rindra's Choice and Combust give some more flexibility in removal for things like Azindel, Tavrod, Statuary Maiden, Rindra, Cirso, etc. I haven't played a lot with the rindra's choice yet, but it also hits a bunch of relevant multifaction spells.

Jotun Hurler is primarily fodder for Jennev Merchant and Nocturnal Observer, but snowballs are good against cards like Initiate of the Sands, Oni Ronin, Kerendon Merchant, and Auric Runehammer,

Thanks for openly sharing these updates! I've really been enjoying your deck but don't have enough experience yet to effectively tune it. I'm looking forward to trying these out. I find the aggresive haunted highway decks difficult to deal with in the current meta.
Almost Edited Eternal Version: 1.39.0.5742
Haunted highway is definitely a very tough matchup. You can usually recognize the deck from the power they play on turns 1 and 2 because they play entirely crests, banners, and waystones. You have to watch out for Madness on Gorgon Fanatic and Vicious Highwayman pinging down Iceberg Scattershot. Jennev Merchant is a great blocker in the matchup. You want to trade units when possible to play around Bandit Queen. This deck runs a lot of efficient removal but it's hard to stabilize because of how many charging threats they have.
OnePoint Eternal Version: 1.39.0.5742
Thank you for sharing your deck and commentary on it. What is your opinion on how well this deck stacks up in the (currently unstable) meta? I’m very tempted to craft this deck and rewatching your ETS games
Almost Eternal Version: 1.39.0.5742
I think that the deck struggles against fast decks like skycrag and combrei aggro, but that it does pretty well against slower midrange and control decks.
Also be aware that it takes some practice to play well, since there are a lot of decisions to be made.
rtrnofdmax Eternal Version: 1.39.0.5742
I hate that this is a thing. You get a downvote for the lack of skill required to play this.
Wingflier Eternal Version: 1.40
Yeah I honestly feel like it's based on a broken mechanic. When a spell is played from the void for free, it should go into exile, not just go back into the void to be played again for free infinitely. This is such a shitty design, one of the many lessons Wizards of the Coast learned after 25 years. Infinite combos are not fun.
Unicopter Eternal Version: 1.46.3
they are fun.. hard to pull off in various matchups and lots of things can deal with it
