I decided to make something with the new Eremot promo, and it works surprisingly well, 28-0 so far.

Thanks to Smiguli's evenhanded xenan deck for some inspiration.

edits:
- Big vara out
- more variety in 2-drops for fun and flexibility
- added emblems

Hey there osmosisch, love the changes to the deck and I would like to throw out my considerations

+2 cull the deck
+2 seek answers
+1 sleeping draught(testing)
+2 battle at the gates
+1 deadly confrontation
+1 deathstrike
(testing 2nd fell ritual)
+1 malediction(board gets out of hand)
+1 stonescar magus
(testing aurapiercer and gunrustler)

To cover the extra power I put in the amethyst coin and the waystone to create night

Hi, thanks for the ideas! I'm going to try some out but I'm having trouble thinking what to cut, every card I've got in there at the moment is nice to draw.

Very cool deck, thx ! Such a fun to smash with a berserker Timepieced Umbren Voidbringer !
I just made some adjustments myself and I'd eventually like to read you about them : -1 Memory Dredger / +1 Fell Ritual (for more consistency) ; -2 Dark Wisp / +2 Vara's Favor (for obvious card potency). Ripknife Assassin and Nullblade are sadly missed, but heh, no room !... Thx again for some real purple Gauntlet fun !

Hi, thanks for the kind words!

I like your suggestions, I'll try them out and update the deck if I change anything.

Some explanations:
- The reason I have wisp instead of more favors in there is so that I have more targets for the dredgers; there's not enough 1-toughness targets in gauntlet in my experience to make favor that much better than a body that I can recur. I like playing for value, which also means I'd not cut any dredgers if I can avoid it.
- I feel like I don't have enough card draw to put too many 1-for-1 cards like assassin in, although it does make a fine dredger target. I'm going to try them out instead of instigator for a bit and see what works best.
- I don't have a nullblade yet unfortunately

I'm definitely thinking of cutting big vara, I almost never play her.

Some thoughts after reading your answer :
- About Memory Dredger which is one of my favorite cards and a bomb in Gauntlet (as illustrated in my eL ReanimaToR deck) : 4 of it means you get it more than often in your opening hand, which is almost counter-productive, unless you play a whole bazillion of 2-drops. Anyway you're right, recurring Dark Wisp is cool card advantage.
-About some of the sweetest and frequent Vara's Favor's Gauntlet targets : Akko, Inspired Artist, Pyroknight, Frontier Jito, Dawnwalker, Ghar, Master Sandmage, Wandering Wisp, Hanaka, Loremaster, Hero of the People, Order of the Spire, Deranged Dinomancer, Cabal Countess, Direwood Beastcaller, Umbren Reaper, Twilight Hermit, Psionic Savant, Fearless Nomad, Champion of Fury, Auric Vigilante and of course the all-times favorites N°1 targets Oni Ronin, Ruthless Stranger, Bladekin Apprentice, Scorpion Wasp and Ticking Grenadin and a ton of other annoying critters often met in Gauntlet, you name them ! And it's even some kinda combat-trick finisher against poor defending AI. That was for the defense of Vara's Favor ! :B
-About Argenport Instigator vs. Ripknife Assassin : one is more proactive and aggro where the other is more versatile and "multi-task", methink. Ideally, both are cool as The Blues Brothers ;-D
-About cutting Vara, Fate-Touched why not ? Some suggestions of 6-drops I will try : Aurapiercer, Caiphus, Wandering King, Dizo, Cabal Chairman, End of the Line, Karvet, Solar Dragon, Whispers in the Void...
Even if, in fact, I'm sure I will end up adding Last Chance, because of Abduct and Fell Ritual !
Anyway, I get back to your deck to kick some Gauntlet's ass, my pleasure to read your thoughts in the future !
