Use the new
Stoneshaker to reduce your combo pieces by 1 or 2 power so that you can play as many as possible in a single turn. This reduces the risk of getting your precious combo pieces destroyed or silenced. In a perfect scenario when reducing the cost of all cards twice you can play all 3 combo pieces in a single turn for 8 power (3 + 3 + 2). But even just being able to play 2 in one turn (mostly the vulnerable
Cabal Spymaster and
Calderan Gunsmith) can be good enough.
Initially just put this together for fun and thought there's no way it's gonna work well, but I was surprised how many games I won (well, 3 or 4 out of 5 so far in casual).
The star in this deck is
Mirror Image, which is super versatile. You can use it to play more copies of
Stoneshaker, create a safety copy of your vulnerable
Cabal Spymaster, get more card draw via
Whispering Wind or just keep pumping out copies of
West-Wind Herald.
Dark Return can also be used to play more copies of
Stoneshaker early on or to resurrect one of your missing combo pieces.
This deck can win in a few ways. Obviously the goal is to do infinite amount of damage via the
West-Wind Herald,
Mirror Image,
Cabal Spymaster and
Calderan Gunsmith. But there's a few ways you can get there. And you can also win without the combo, for example by continuing to put out copies of
West-Wind Herald via
Mirror Image.
Don't hesitate to redraw in your opening because you're guaranteed to have at least 3 useful cards (and a max of 4 power) in your starting hand.
You can use
Celestial Omen to get your final combo piece. An interesting way to play it is with a
West-Wind Herald on board you play the
Celestial Omen and then attack and infiltrate and get another card.
