Alessi's back and better than ever. Most importantly, killer is more valuable than ever thanks to the popularity of sites. This deck does particularly well against the new Howling Peak decks, with an aggressive start plus killer and combat tricks up the wazoo.

Be Gone is the new Safe Return, and it gives us exactly the influence we need.

The strategy is the same as always; play lots of cheap units, give them killer and buff them. Protect them with aegis and replay them for cheap killer removal.

Marley is included for the extra aegis units as well as additional silences. 4 Annihilate are necessary against Vara, though she can also be silenced or simply killed by a buffed Alessi or Awakened Student.

I keep seeing deckbuilders do this mistake, Be Gone is not a fast spell, it can't be compared to Safe Return. You'll just watch as they destroy your Alessi.

It can be used as a templo play. But it also refreshes your alessi/aegis/fixes.

Personally, I'd be running Hojan instead of teacher. More reliably playable and combos nicely with the initiation recursion package. Would need 1 more single target spell though

I imported this deck and regretted it shortly afterwards, dies to every single Vara deck imaginable. Shadow draws are scant, cheap units make for easy removal as well.

It sounds like you've never played an Alessi deck before. There are 9 shadow sources in this deck meaning there's a 60% chance to have a shadow influence T1 (which you won't need that early) and there are plenty of tools for dealing with Vara.
