Information

Since so many people are playing Hooru control and relying on spells to kill your units, let's build a deck stacked with Aegis to mess with them. We also include Black Book to attack their key cards before they can play them, and Thicket Trap cripples their armor. Power distribution could possibly be adjusted to reduce the amount of depleted power.

OldGuardian Eternal Version: 22.12.09
Nice idea but, in testing, has proven ineffective vs Hooru Control. Guess this is just another reason why Eternal will never be a top tier game like the game it was stolen from.

Eternal is not a top-tier game, like mtg, because this one deck, in your testing, has "proven ineffective vs Hooru Control"? mtg has had many metas controlled by one deck with the rest of the field ineffective even when teched against them. This is also just neons deck that "seemed to be a decent matchup"

Run along child, no one is interested in your snarkiness.
WinterWolf1297 Eternal Version: 22.12.09
While there was a minimal amount of snark, the point seems relevant. How is Eternal never going to be top tier when the top tier game (M:TG) suffers similar problems in some of its most popular formats? I totally agree that Hooru Control needs nerfing, where TCP got hit instead but this deck might be better against HC if it was tuned a bit more.

So we stand behind our bad take and resort to name-calling, love it!

I played a fair number of games with it, and it seemed to be a decent matchup. Still had to work for my wins, but it certainly made the game harder for the Hooru player too.

I think it could be more effective if there was another good Aegis unit to play at low cost instead of Dinomight, but we don't have much else to choose from.

How about Duelist Blade as the 5 cost aegis "unit"?
