Deck Philosophy
1.
Master Archivist and
Icy Scrying function similarly to
Strategize in this deck but much stronger. Embrace the Archivist
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. Recent findings suggest strong 2-drops win the game. Play 2-drops
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. We impose a challenge to play the best faction pair we have out there, the Archivist + X faction pair. Deck power base much be a lot smoother than any 3-faction decks. Embrace the usefulness of Marks in our Elysian deck
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. Classify it as a Tempo Deck to trigger and misinform all EWC users.
KIRA IS A TEMPO DECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want to rank up, then please kindly try other more versatile decks, or those tagged Masters, or even post your own deck up to EWC for constructive criticisms.
In my opinion, I don't believe a deck needs to provide extrinsic rewards for it to be enjoyable. As you stated, the deck is capable of providing "silly and stupid ways" to win, and that is exactly the purpose of the deck. And that is what I ultimately ask for in the deck building and / or playing process.
In all of my decks posted, the serious / half-serious ones usually have [masters] or some sort of deck tech. (though usually incomplete) If you happen to come across more decks with this sarcastic tone in the deck description, please be well reminded that the only guarantee is that the deck functions somewhat sometimes and that the deck would be fun in one way or the other.[/masters]
Turning to your comment, thx for clarifications. It made somewhat clear what to expect later. I didn't expect this deck to be good for Ranked so I tested it in Casual. My own concern with this deck is that even in case of winning with it I do not know why do I win xD And when losing, I can't understand what did go wrong. This leads to another problems like whether play some core cards like Archivist, Jarrel or Wump or wait for them to be covered with counterspell or Aegis, what hands should I mulligan etc. I see this archetype here on site quite regularly, I'm curious with it but didn't understand strategies or good/bad matchups.
Try to search for gameplay videos of old Ely builds or maybe deck techs. Then netdeck some recent builds.
