Dran, Won't Back Down left his life of farming, the rats were too much for him. Along with his
Prize Sow and his sidekick
Grumbo, Tota Legend, he offered all the rats as sacrifices to
Tasbu, the Forbidden. With this unholy pact, he sometimes win gauntlets...
I tried to keep the power curve low to not automatically lose when I draw no more than 2 powers in the first 5 - 10 turns, which is probably the main reason I lose gauntlets. You can manage quite a large zoo with only 2 or 3 power and hope for many lucky hits with
Rift Siphon to get this project somewhere. This works well because the AI assigns very low value to rats that can't block and will rarely trade units when you attack, scoring a ton of hits. Do not hesitate to send them to their death, especially to proc
Tasbu, the Forbidden.
I initially designed the deck around
Smuggler's Toll, which makes dealing 12 damage by a
Xultan Conclave a pretty hilarious win, however 4 cost is way too much to be practical.
A big surprise for me was to realize that
Unkindness was actually fairly good. When you opponent spends a turn playing attachments or removing your units, it's a win. The AI also seemingly likes to play
Seek Power and other ramp cards as a top priority, sometimes preventing him from playing anything actually relevant.
I included
Aerie Steward because I like that card, but it's often not that useful because of the cost.
The market highlights are
Supply Lines and
Torrent of Spiders, which we don't see often. It's for the rare case when you've played the
Sandstorm Scarf, but still have to deal with a bunch of threats, or in the case that you want to proc
Grumbo, Tota Legend several times
I hope you enjoy!
