Information

Time has passed since the last Deck I posted. With all the new cards/sets that have arrived since then a lot has changed, but control still owns Gauntlet.

Some of you might still know:
Total Control
Total Control 2.0

Now this is the 3rd Edition, with even more control.
I'm not gonna write too much of why what got included and why other cards didn't, just important stuff:

- Addition of Primal, mostly due to Icy Scrying, which is way too powerful to miss out in a control deck, eventhough i reduced it from 4 to 2 copies again, since I found a diferent balance.
- Adding Primal for Icy Scrying also brought Hailstorm into the deck, for obvious reasons and some additional card draw Wisdom of the Elders & Honor of Claws
- Disrupt I was quite uncomfortable with in the beginning has proved to be a very important addition, since it's our way to get rid of pesky drops and relic weapons. I have also tried Thicket Trap in that slot for the Aegis pop and Relic Weapon "removal" (with snowball), but that din't work out the way I wanted.
- Saloon Massacre can pop Aegis for cheap, unless Vara, Vengeance-Seeker is available of course, and also removes those mass 1-Drop boards.

Market - This is where the win cons are:
- Builder's Decree with all the board whipes we have, this is a late gamer with game over guarantee
- Poacher's Menagerie self-explanatory
- Inquisitor Makto the flying King of control decks
- Stormhalt Plating strongest relic weapon available, nuff said
- Skullhaven Draftbeast - now this is probably the most strange addition, but while playing there came up situations where the needed Influence for certain cards wasn't achievable on time, thats where Draftbeast comes into play. Fetching it from the market with Warren Delivery gives a chosen Sigil on turn 3 (if initial hand screws you) and it solved ALL the problems I had in the earlier editions of this deck, also it's a nice body to drop or just to back-market.

The Deck in its current state is undefeated in dozens of runs, i stoppped counting, maybe 30+ or 40+ i dunno.

If there is any card that needs to be in there, which i might not know off, just let me know, I'm happy to try it out.

I found that getting PP reliably by turn 3, while also not starving on SS or JJ was difficult. This leads to getting high-rolled quite easily with no outs. Still a really strong and fun deck, but not autopilot by any means.

Thx for the comment.
It is not intended to be an autopilot, control relies on decisions and so does this deck.
Getting the double influence on all 3 factions reliably by turn 3 isn't a must. It is depending on your hand whether it is necessary or not. The main focus should be the available cards in hand. If for example you have Scrying, Market, Harsh Rule and Nothing Remains in the opener, you should focus on getting JJSS over PP and just send the scrying to the market for poachers.
