Pincer Ant - Killer, Nightfall, makes enemy spells and relics more expensive, should slow down your non aggressive opponents a bit
Pathlighter - 3/4 flying charge
Insatiable Bug - scare enemy from attacking you
Krogar, Burdened Hero - answers: Raniya, Miviox Maniac; Parliament Elder; Hive Queen Uther; Geomar, the Steel Tempest; Pelak, Xultan Elder; Summoner Savant
Protective Crow - 5/5 flying aegis finisher

other cards to consider:
The Krinkle Boys - pop Aegis, ping damaged or small units and finish off opponents
Lethrai Opportunist - another unit removal, should work fine until you are able to get some pincer ants

"Whistling Quill - carddraw every turn on a flyer" Nope! Only draws on Summon. I made the same mistake when starting with the set. :D Would be too good.
