Information

Squash Belief is not in the EWC database yet, so Shadowfang Valkyrie is included as a placeholder.

This deck tries to ramp so it can play Squash on turn 3 and force the opponent into a crippled starting position. From there, we use cards like Wasp, Anteater and Accusation to build our hand while they try to dig their way out of a hole. This deck is a proof of concept, so play around with it and feel free to make card substitutions. Having your hand go poof at the start of the game is a very feelsbad situation.

Pincer Ant & Lunar Magus can help the Nightfall plan, are both good vs aggro, and Pincer Ant can prevent opposing decks from squashing you. (For 1 turn).

I agree, Pincer Ant would be a pretty boss inclusion in here. I'm not sure Nahid's Faithful is doing all that much for you, may be a good substitution.

Is it viable in Throne, or rather what would the Throne version look like?
Bradifer Eternal Version: 23.05.24
I have been running into Squashed Belief in Dichro's Ruin decks, which force both players to draw extra cards anyways. Squashed would reduce the ability to keep a stock of good stuff in hand, really punishing slower decks who want to hit power drops & do powerful things.

It also pressures relic removal more than usual.
The downside is that it's 4 cost d-nothing, so fast decks are encouraged to just punish you for skipping turn 4 and not affecting the board.

Yeah, if you were running this in Throne you'd have to have a PLAN for the early game.

I don't play Throne, but I expect it would be even easier to make work in that format since there are more ways to hit all influences and ramp power.
