The House on Neibolt Street

Here is the optimized decklist I have been working on after I settled on the direction for Exp Cheap-as-Free Upgrade for Bonebreaker's Revenge Theme Deck. This list here was built around the synergy between Severin of the Dark and Forbidden Research. This deck also draws value from Forbidden Research's discard effects by pitching Felrauk the Outcast and Icy Gaze. I have also drawn inspiration from isomorphic's Unstable Feln from the May Throne Challenge, but this is my take on the decklist.

Although I intended for this build to be a theme deck for casual play, it has been very effective on the current Throne Ladder. In the early game, the usual plan is to slow down your opponent's Units by deploying Blightmoth, Blight Pass Smuggler, Permafrost, and Icy Gaze in order to trick out a Turn 4+ Felrauk through either Forbidden Research or Lightning Sprite. Then the game plan can either work around transmuting Felrauk into a new Unit using Unstable Mutation; playing a Severin and gaining several Piercing Griefs through influence gain, through Forbidden Research or the existing Power Base; or both. The Hand discard effects from Felrauk and Rindra, Infiltrator help to slow your opponent's plans. Rindra also synergizes well upon playing a spell, including discarding an Icy Gaze and playing it for free.

At Any Cost has been included to take advantage of the increased Shadow influence gained through playing this deck as you can easily gain 12 Shadow Influence after a few successful Forbidden Researches, considering there is no current need for Justice Influence in this deck. In this way, At Any Cost serves as an alternative won condition should the need arise.
