This is the current deck I’m playing in Expedition and it is a ton of fun. It’s not the best deck but I’ve been consistently Rank 10-20 with it over the past 2-3 days. I almost don’t want to share because it is so fun and people gearing towards it will make it worse!
The deck is a fairly standard Reanimator deck and ultimately isn’t that complicated. Basically you have three ways to win: 1.) Reanimate a big dude (preferably Sadistic Grimalkin) on turn 4, 2.) use Bone Music to push across way more damage than the opponent expects or take out a key creature by flashing in guys unexpectedly, 3.) Control the game, make attrition plays, and just cast Sadistic Grimlalkin on turn 7. You’d be surprised at how often #3 occurs.
Note that even though this is a Reanimator deck, don’t expect a turn 4 big guy to win you the game on the spot. Remember this is a midrange deck and wins through attribution a lot of the time.
Note that the power base and market are still in flux as I think i need to change cards around a bit. Specifically I think the power base needs more shadow sources but I’m not quite sure where to adjust. Also the market has 4 cards set and one spot I’m playing with. 1.) Raniya is so good in the most random board states that I would never cut it. 2.) Dire Bonecleaner is a good card advantage/discard outlet in the board. 3.) Hermit Scheme is a closer out of the market and the main reason for the shadow market. 4.) devastating setback has been good but I’m trying the wyvrach as well. For the 5th slot I haven’t yet identified a good need yet.
The deck can be a bit awake to aggro but Bone Music and Bonbardment can help stalll. Also a turn four big guy does a lot of work against agrro.
