The ShiftstonedEternal Power Calculator is a deck-building tool that visualizes your odds of drawing enough Influence and Power based specifically on the cards found in your deck.
This is the absolute nuts draw pipe dream, but you really can pull off a T3 Callous Survivalist often enough, you just usually don't have the power that turn to do anything with him til the next turn, so you hope that he lives an extra turn.
Edit: I can't remember if cost of the Callous Survivalist goes back up to 9 immediately or if it stays 0 til end of turn. That would change how you play it out, but the idea of using Notorious Scoundrel + Callous Survivalist to get Kairos can happen way faster than Sentinels can.
Does it regular ?
My version is a midrange and it can win without kairos but sometimes too slow.
Your version can win very early but many cards are too weak if you can't combo.
Nice, this is all inspiring me to try my own hand at building a midrange Gunslinger deck to Fair Exchange for Kairos. I'll let you know if it's worth posting since Gunslingers are a bit more meta than sentinels.
It is not consistent at all. It's definitely a "livin' the dream" style deck. But the combo of Notorious Scoundrel + Callous Survivalist has been around for a while, but previously it would use Reweave to sac the Callous Survivalist and search for a card. But that card would be shifted, which has pros and cons in this case.
Kairos, Grand Champion is a very powerful card, and definitely worth crafting at least 1. Crafting 4 Callous Survivalist feels bad. Heck, crafting 1 feels bad. I happen to have 2 just over time. But if you have the shiftstone to burn, or you happen to already have 4 for some reason, then it's worth playing around with, because you can do some pretty busted things.
As a consolation prize, you can also do Heroic Bravo which can't get Kairos, Grand Champion, but it can get 8 drops like Azindel, Revealed. And since Fair Exchange is a fast spell, you can do it at the end of your opponent's turn and immediately get value from the extra card draw that Azindel gives you.
T1: Fire (& maybe Shadow); Research Assistant (T)
T2: Fire (& maybe Shadow); Sac Research Assistant; Tumblebang
T3: Any power, just need 1 Shadow by now; Display of Destruction, sac-ing Tumblebang;
You now have 9 power. On turn 3.
Notorious Scoundrel (7 power) + (Gloves of the Pyromancer / Rampage / Relentless Pursuit / Ruination Sledge / Scythe Slash / Infused Strike / Rapid Shot) (5 power) + Callous Survivalist (5 power) + Fair Exchange (for Kairos, Grand Champion; draw 9 or 10 cards depending on the pump spell you played on Notorious Scoundrel) ... and you still have 2 power left over to:
- give Kairos charge (From Within / Warhelm)
- leave power up to protect Kairos (Hesitate / Dissociate / Corrupt)
- something else from the 10-11 cards you have in your hand

Edit 2: The cost of Callous Survivalist does immediately go back up to 9 after Bonding it into play, so you can indeed get Kairos, Grand Champion on the same turn.

I'll try your version, it's seem pretty fun. (and maybe powerful)
