Main idea of this deck is exploiting discard and self mill for extremely explosive turns and value. Also utilizes lots of interaction while being proactive. Deck can have issues with mana fixing. Really fun deck with lots of synergies and interesting choices. Uses a lot of underused and powerful cards.
Key cards
Kennelmaster is insane in this deck.I have turned this card on by turn 2. This card is a must answer threat when turned on! All the removal in this deck helps get blockers out of the way for hounds to get through.
Jawbone Greatsword is pretty easy to activate in this deck with self mill,
Whispering Wind, or just by attacking in with units. For 4 mana dealing 5 damage and drawing a card is really good. Even if you don't get the activation card is still decent.
Whispering Wind gets rid of cards you don't want, tutors for cards you do want, has flying so can turn on
Gustrider without losing units, and puts spells or Vishni in void. If you discard any or the 3 mana cards guarantees a draw of
Jawbone Greatsword that is activated. Make sure if you do this you have the 2 fire influence.
Vishni, Lethrai Highblood
Pretty strong just as 3/3 flyer that can be shifted for 6 for additional value. Card is really good when discarded and shifted with
Remembrance. Can also mess with opp's void and steal spells or creatures that you can use. Stealing creatures from opp's void triggers tribute.
Gustrider
Very strong effect for 1 mana if it can be activated. Card can be activated pretty easily and turns on powerful card synergies early on.
Remembrance
Works well with merchants,
Kennelmaster, and
Vishni, Lethrai Highblood.
Cheap Spells/Interaction
Most cards in this section help fill the void to turn on
Kennelmaster and remove opp's units.
Permafrost
-Can remove early or late game units
-Costs 1
Torch
-Cheap interaction and burn
-Costs 1
Last Chance
-
FREE card selection
-Can recur late game threats from the Market
-Fills void for
FREE
Shakedown
-Remove key cards in opp's hand
-Nightfall is really good in this deck
-Cheap spell that fills the void
-When opp empty handed can be traded away/discarded
Annihilate
-Fast spell that is cheap
-Really good against Vara
Desecrate
-Universal removal for 2
Merchants/Market
Both Merchants can get the two powerful midgame threats Rindra and Highwayman. They can also get
Kaleb's Choice which can negate board clears or destroy
Permafrost.
Howling Peak Smuggler
Can grab
Jotun Hurler to deal 2 damage and can discard or trade away Hurler later. Can be shifted from the void for +1 spell damage.
Power
Chairman's Contract is very strong but makes mana fixing even harder. Can lead to very explosive turns early and has a lot of synergy in this deck.
Diplomatic Seal helps fix mana early.
Banner are good in this deck because the deck has lots of early units.
One Shadow Influence is included because of
Royal Decree and
Ice Bolt.
Deck has minimum amount of power since it has a low curve and you want to discard your cards not power.
Deck is still being worked on and has only been in development for a week.
Argenport Instigator doesn't feel too good in this deck but is a strong aggressive 2 drop.
Xo of the Endless Hoard could be really good in the market.
Combust could be good in this deck with hound tokens.
The Winter Crown was used in a Feln version of this deck and basically drew a card every turn and could stun units.
Dusk Raider was used in the Feln version and could be very good in this list. When used with
Remembrance gives cards drawn berserk.
Rhysta, Acantha's Herald is a really strong card and was good in the elf version. But 3 drops are full and dont have enough room for shadow influence.
Deck started as a Feln elf deck that used the void but feels a lot more powerful with current list.
